Sire: GV Duke 18C (IMP)

Dam: Jury Erica O74 of Blelack

Justin has been the most successful herd sire at Shadwell. He was purchased privately as a young stock sire in 2000 from the Massie family and went on to be incredibly successful on the summer show circuit for numerous years culminating in the Interbreed championship at the Royal Show in 2004. He was sold privately just after that show to David Walker, Galcantary, for £10,000 but unfortunately suffered a leg injury shortly after arrival. Shadwell has many strong females in the herd with Justin’s stamp of power, length and fleshing ability.

Sire: Royal Stockman 23B

Dam: Royal Rosebud 61A (ET) (IMP)

Bred in the Sisson Bros Royal Angus Farms herd in Canada, Added Value or “Addie” arrived at Shadwell having been bought from the Massie family at four years old. It was quickly obvious he would grow in to a star in the eyes of anyone who handled him. He matured to be a powerful, stocky and well fleshed bull with a fantastically kind nature. He had numerous show successes including the male and reserve overall Aberdeen-Angus championship at the Royal Show in 2002. Daughters of Added Value are still in the herd and carry many of his tremendous characteristics.

Sire: Justin Eric X47 of Blelack

Dam: Ergessa V55 of Blelack

Emperor was retained as a herd sire for Shadwell due to his parentage and as a replacement for his sire. Like his father he had great success on the show circuit but unfortunately he suffered a leg injury in what Shadwell had expected to be his most successful year.

                  Sire: Royal Added Value 19D

                  Dam: Blackbird T22 of Blelack

Black Baroque was used in the herd as a junior sire and replacement for his sire. He is out of one of the most sought after dam lines in the Shadwell herd and was bought privately in 2007 at four years old by Messrs A Hurn, Norfolk where he remains as a senior herd sire.

                  Sire: Lockerley Bruno C270

                  Dam: Shadwell Jayne Erica Y071

This homebred red bull has been used on the red cows in the herd. He is an incredibly well fleshed bull with great stretch and power in his back end. Eric was sold in March 2009 to Mrs McKeine, Dumfries for £4000 her pedigree herd.

Sire: Cudlobe Yellowstone 1’03 (AI) (IMP)

Dam: Netherton Belle C219

Brigadier was bought privately in November 2008 from Messrs J F Lascelles, Carnoustie, Angus for £16,000. Purchased for his depth of pedigree along with his sheer power, presence, fleshing ability and brilliant legs and feet, we hope Brigadier will compliment daughters bred from our other successful herd sire Muirhall Total Deal.
