The Blackbird family is one of the most prolific dam lines in the herd and trace back to the original Blackbird T22 of Blelack. This line produces strong females with great breed character, depth and length, longevity and milk. Bulls from this family have excelled in both pedigree and commercial herds and have great carcase attributes.

Our current junior herd sire and winner of the male championship at the royal Welsh Show in 2011 Shadwell Black Broughton K485 is out of Shadwell Blackbird D181 and previous herd sire Shadwell Black Baroque A048 was out of the original Blackbird T22.
