December 2008: Bruno offspring to Norfolk breeder
We’d like to wish new buyer Neils de la Cour from Norfolk the very best of success with the purchase of two nine month old Lockerley Bruno sired calves Shadwell Jury Eric H363 and Shadwell Blackbird H363. Mr de la Cour is new to breeding Aberdeen-Angus and we hope they compliment his current herd of Murray Grey cattle.
November 2008: Bruno bull joins sire line up at Beckhithe Farms
Regular buyers Barry Brooks and Gary Gray of Beckhithe Farms, Reedham, Norfolk, have returned to Shadwell yet again to buy 7 Lockerley Bruno sired young bulls. All out of homebred females, these bulls with join an extensive sire line up including many Shadwell bulls and will run on the farm’s 1000-cow suckler herd for producing Aberdeen-Angus sired beef to Waitrose. Gary tells us the recent batch of Shadwell bulls have tested the highest in terms of fertility, no doubt this batch will test the same.
