Shadwell Estates believe strongly about breeding and showing the best Aberdeen-Angus genetics. We have invested in quality foundation females and aim to produce a stock sire with growth, muscle and power, as well as females with longevity, locomotion and fertility.

The Shadwell herd largely comprises Black Aberdeen-Angus females, but the herd is also home to a handful of Red breeding cows, of which stock are offered for sale.

Senior Stockman

Due to the impending retirement of our current senior stockman we are looking to recruit a replacement.

The applicant would be responsible for the management and showing of the Company’s High Health Status pedigree Aberdeen Angus Herd of approximately 160 head and the management of a 60 plus commercial cattle. Working within a small team you will be responsible for the herd’s development involving the day to day management and the showing of selected beasts at a number of highly prestigious shows. You must be a strong team player with good communication skills and able to operate within one of the country’s largest thoroughbred breeding operations. A working knowledge of sheep and a limited knowledge of horse management would be an advantage.
